| HIF is a non government organization initiated and registered in 2006 by a group of students from Hong Kong. Being young people from the developed world who are fortunate enough to be equipped with education and every opportunity essential for our personal growth, we did not fail to understand that there are so many young people and children on other parts of the world who are suffering from many kinds of social miseries. By setting up this NGO, we want to share with others our awareness on global issues and devote our commitment to global youth and children in impoverished countries.

| One of the most remarkable aspects of our organization is that all the activities, ranging from basic administration to overseas project development are led by young people from all walks of life. The aim is to encourage youth to participate in overseas voluntary services and enhance interaction among global youth. An online forum on our webpage is set up to enhance youth’s awareness on global issues, to share information, and encourage debates and discussions. |

Focusing on human-to-human interactions, we are determined to develop projects tailored to serve youth and children in need, therefore to reduce the gap among the haves and have-nots, and to support the personal growth and empowerment of our world's future generations.
