HONG KONG, STAND UP FOR PEACE and JUSTICE

More than 700 Palestinians have been killed and 3,085 injured since the Israel assaults on Gaza began on 27 December 2008. Almost ONE-THIRD of the victims were innocent children, in addition to students and civilians taking refuge at 3 United Nations Schools (neutral war-zone) in Palestine.HIF is deeply concerned about this humanitarian crisis and we believe, as global citizens, we should stand up firmly and say "STOP" to the situation.

HIF urges for an IMMEDIATE CEASEFIRE. We strongly condemn the Israel government for the blockade of Gaza, including the banning on the crossings of humanitarian supplies such as food, water and medicine, as well as prohibition against entry of international press. We do NOT accept any substituting policies such as the 3-hours daily truce proposed by Israel right now. The Israel government should end the air-strikes on Gaza and withdraw the land troops from the region immediately! The blockade has to be ended.
