Youth for Change Summit 2009 – “Behind the Scene”

Have you ever thought about the linkages between individuals in the world? As much as we know about the underprivileged in third world countries, are we just another group of by-standers thinking that it’s “none of our business”? Ask yourself, how do you feel about a child working in a factory earning less than USD1 a month?

We will take you on a journey to explore the mysterious relationship betwee one another in our society – this is a chance for you to take a step further, to see, to think, and to REALIZE what lies “Behind the Scenes”.

• Join our Summit and you will get to know:
• The “fairness” achieved through what we call the “fair trade”
• The unrevealed “truth” about climate change
• The “scandals” revolving around factories in China
• How “exciting” the adventure of a refugee is
• The secret stories underlying wars that we thought we were familiar with

Youth for Change Summit hopes to motivate youths to look at things from a whole new perspective, and think about what we, youths, can do as responsible global citizens. What we know is often based on the information our society, the mass media in particular, channels to us – but should we be satisfied with these possibly disrupted and incomplete pictures? Too many unreported and unnoticed cases “Behind the Scene” – and they are for you, youths who care, to discover!
